UTE’s public chargers

What UTE charges at its chargers, VAT included, since January 2026.

ItemAlternating currentDirect current
Base charge$ 54.8$ 132.9
Energy, per kWh$ 10.4$ 11.8
Time without charging, after a 20 minute grace period$ 9.6$ 12.3

UTE’s page puts all three values under one heading in $/kWh and doesn’t say the unit of the base charge or of the time without charging. Private sites may add extra charges.

The first step, UTE says, is to download its UTE Mueve app (App Store, Google Play) and sign in, preferably with your UTE user. The app shows the charging points in real time, what each one has and whether it is available, and you start each charge by scanning the charger’s QR code. The chargers are also on UTE’s charging network map.

There are two ways to pay:

  • One-off charge: by credit or debit card, in the app.
  • Monthly total: with a UTE charging card linked to the app. You get it at UTE’s customer offices, or from the dealer when you collect the vehicle.

Until 31 December 2026, taxis, Uber and Cabify get 40% off the energy and 100% off the base fee.
