The official pages call it licencia or permiso de conducir.

Renew
- You can renew from 30 days before it expires.
- If it expired up to 2 years ago, it’s renewed without a theory or practical exam.
- A procedure once started is valid for 180 calendar days. After that it’s cancelled and you start again, with the payment and the exams.
All of this comes from the PUNC protocol. What each intendencia asks for, its booking and its cost are on its page.
