Your privacy in GarageApp

What you control from the app, and where to read the privacy policy.

From the app you control:

  • Who sees each vehicle and what they see. See What each person can do.
  • Which notifications you get. See Choose which notifications you get.
  • The Face ID lock. See Lock the app with Face ID.
  • Your documents’ recovery code. See End-to-end encryption.
  • Whether people can find you to invite you: in Privacy & Access, Visibility, turn off Let people find me by username, email or phone and you don’t show up in username search or in other people’s contact suggestions. People can still invite you if they type your exact email.
  • What you shared by link: in Privacy & Access, Public links lists each vehicle’s public page and each wishlist you shared, with a switch to turn each one off. Show my photo on public links chooses whether those pages show your photo.
  • Location, photos, contacts and notifications permissions, in the phone’s settings.
  • Your account, which you can delete whenever you like. See Delete your account.

Your registration cards and license photos are encrypted on your phone: we can’t see them. In a screenshot, the app hides the sensitive details of your registration cards and license.

To read the Privacy policy and the Terms of use, open your account and tap them at the end. They’re also in this page’s footer.
