  • The Documento de Identificación Vehicular (DIV, the vehicle identification document) or the police report.
  • The vehicle tax up to date, with no unpaid fees or fines.
  • The SOA, Seguro Obligatorio Automotor (compulsory motor insurance).
  • The bill of sale (title) registered with the Dirección Nacional de Registros, original and photocopy.
  • A power of attorney with notarial certification, if you act on someone’s behalf.

With both parties appearing, you bring the seller’s and the buyer’s ID cards and the form filled in and signed by both, with notarial certification of the signatures.

How it’s done
