Vehicle transfer in Tacuarembó
In Tacuarembó the transfer is done at the Dirección de Tránsito y Transporte: in person with both parties, by power of attorney or with the registered title.

Requirements
The Intendencia’s traffic procedures guide asks for, in all three cases:
- The vehicle tax up to date.
- Valid Mercosur plates.
- The registration card (libreta de propiedad, or cédula de identificación vehicular).
- The vehicle’s registry certificate, original, or a notarial copy, lien-free, no more than 5 business days old.
- A valid ID card in good condition, and a photocopy.
- The new owner’s proof of address: an OSE, UTE or Antel bill.
- A photocopy of the valid SOA (compulsory motor insurance).

The transfer power of attorney form is picked up at the office or downloaded from the website. You fill it in on the computer, print it on a single double-sided sheet and present it at the Oficina Legal of the Dirección de Tránsito.
